Kamboi Eagles defeat Ports Authority 2-1

In the ongoing Africel-sponsored Premier League, Kambui Eagles played against Ports Authority on Friday 13th May 2011 at the City Field along Sumaila Street in Kenema. The kick-off was taken by the Local Unit Commander (LUC) at the Kenema Police Division, William Sellu.
About 15 minutes of play in the first half, Salieu Barrie of Kambui Eagles, scored the first goal, while Ibrahim K. Fofana scored the second goal in the 18thminutes of play in the first half. The score remained 2-0 against Ports Authority up to half time.
During the second half of play, Ports Authority pressurized Kambui Eagles resulting in Donald Willington’s goal in the thirtieth minute of the second half. The game ended 2-1 against Ports Authority and there was jubilation among fans of Kambui Eagle in the city. Players of Ports Authority were heavily guarded by security forces as they boarded the bus to their hotel.
The Mayor of Kenema City Council (KCC), Chief Brima Kargbo, expressed his happiness and support to Kambui Eagles’ team, saying that they have done what is expected of them by fans in the Kenema district.
