Sierra Leone News: Hotel Moriyah unveiled in Kambia

Deputy Trade Minister Allieu Mansaray unveiling Hotel MoriyahIt was a double bang for the people of Kambia past Saturday, when Dr. Alusine Fofanah commissioned his newly constructed Hotel Moriyah.
Just few minutes after official unveiling of his NP filling station, he invited the Deputy Minister of Trade, Allieu Mansaray to again perform the official commissioning of his newly built hotel is had decided to name, Hotel Moriyah, a 20-room hotel accommodation.
He praised the proprietor for his decision to invest in his district which he referred to as “a genuine attempt by an indigene to uplift his community through appropriate investment.” He said Kambia faces serious accommodation challenge noting that Dr. Fofanah’s 20-room hotel will go a long way in ameliorating that challenge.
He said during his working days in Kambia, accommodation was a very serious challenge especially for visiting state officials and other strangers. He noted that the new hotel will serve the purpose for it is constructed and that “it will definitely help to improve the accommodation challenge of the district” especially for people traveling between Sierra Leone and Guinea. He assured all customers to the Hotel Moriyah of “pleasant and quality stay anytime.”
He expressed hope that many other indigenes and Sierra Leoneans will see Kambia as another investment opportunity in Sierra Leone. He called for more investments in the several opportunities Kambia has in store and also called on Dr. Fofanah to expand the business with additional rooms.
He also appealed to the staff to keep the hotel rooms and premise clean and tidy as it is at one of the country’s gateways.
He said the government and president will be happy to hear of such an investment in Kambia district.
