Sierra Leone News: Salone model wins Miss World Heritage 2013

MissA proud Sierra Leonean, Ramzain Suma, who engaged in a patriotic journey to Zimbabwe to portray the Sierra Leonean heritage after triumphing over 18 other countries to win ‘Miss World Heritage 2013’ which was organized on December 13.
This was disclosed during a press briefing on January 8 at the Office of the National Youth Coalition, Fort Street.
Speaking to journalists, the proud winner said the Miss Heritage World Beauty Pageant was founded by Tare Munzara and Ronald Tisauke to promote world tangible and intangible heritage through the identification of global beauty and celebration of the intelligence, integrity and personality of women.
Ramzain said she won the title of ‘Queen of Africa’ and finally brought home the Miss Heritage Personality and Ambassador Award.
She said Miss Heritage World 2013 is geared towards the utilization of heritage as an instrument for sustainable development to achieve the Millennium Development Goals; eradicate extreme poverty, hunger, achieving universal primary education and promote gender equality and women empowerment.
She said Miss Heritage is also intended to promote tourism towards development of communities around the world.
Ramzain thanked all those who aided her in her journey and promised Sierra Leoneans that she will continue to bring home more trophies.
