Retired Magistrate Imran Rahman was murdered at his Marjay town resident in Freetown on 23rd December 2016 by two alleged armed robbers Joseph Foday Kabia and Amos Alimamy Kargbo.
Yesterday Joseph and Alimamy made their first appearance before Magistrate Aboubhakarr Binneh Kamara who refused them bail and sent them to the Pademba road correctional centre in Freetown.
It was reported that on 23rd December the two accused together with other unknown persons conspired together to rob retired Magistrate Rahman and in the process allegedly murdered him and made away with assorted household items and other properties valued at millions of Leones.
They were apprehended by the police and charged to Court on three counts of Conspiracy, murder and robbery with aggravation being armed with breaking implements to wit robbery.
The matter was prosecuted by lead Counsel AGM Bockarie while the accused were not represented and the case was adjourned to17th January 2016.
