Sierra Leone News: German National in Le 754 million saga

German National, Dr. Jur Olaf Grabowski, was granted bail by Magistrate Binneh Kamara for an alleged fraud and fraudulent conversion of $122,250 USD or approximately Le 754 million on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017.
Dr. Grabowski is the Chief Executive Officer of Germany Drilling Group, Sierra Leone, Ltd., allegedly collected goods from various clients including Fawaz Building Supplies and Save the Children on behalf of his company and converted the money for his own use and benefit.
While testifying, Detective Police Constable Andrew Kemoh, informed the court that on the 21st September, 2016, he received the case file adding began an investigation.
“The accused produced a copy of a document tiled 2016 Cost Expenses Report of the German Drilling Group which contained information pertinent to the present matter,” the witness stated.
Prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Samuel Kamara, in his submission, told the Court that the accused, between 1st November and 22 August 2016 was involved in the said activities.
The matter was adjourned to the 13th February, 2017.
