The annual Sierra Leone Chamber of Commerce Trade Fair was officially opened on Wednesday at the Siaka Stevens Stadium. Chairman of the Organizing committee, Rev. Bola Williams explained that this year’s fair took off nicely, pointing out “we had well over 200 participants in this year’s fair,” he said. The Chairman also noted that the corporate and entertainment sections are at 50-50 par at the fair.
He said the fair is a platform which gives opportunity to entrepreneurs to showcase their products and so far they are proud with the turnout as so many local entrepreneurs have taken part in the event.
He noted that one of their biggest challenge is power supply although measures have been put in place to address it.
Some of the traders said the trade fair is not bad so far because lots of people come and see their wares and the services they offer, however they pointed out that business is some how slow…
