Sierra Leone News: Stepping-up pleasure and entertainment

The 232 Complex, which carries the Sierra Leone country code, was officially opened on Saturday by the Minister of Tourism, Sidi Yaya Tunis.
The unique, classic and extraordinary destination reveals a clear picture of the country’s culture, natural surroundings and the ultra-modern accommodation provides the base for an exciting holiday, family gathering, and official tour with ample leisure activities. The Complex has range of hotel rooms, a conference room, restaurant and nightclub.
The Complex is a joint partnership between the Sierra Leone Brewery Limited and the management of 232, Tarick Rahme and Derek Davis.
Giving an overview of the joint venture, Desmond George, Sierra Leone Brewery Limited, Marketing Manager noted his company’s commitment in promoting the entrepreneurship in the country.
‘’SLBL promotes development. We sell leisure, pleasure and entertainment for tourist attractions,” George says. The 232 Complex show-cases Sierra Leone prestige in term of tourism at an international level.
In his official opening remarks, Minister of Tourism, Tunis, said, “The charming beach complex truly makes Sierra Leone a memory experience for visitors and tourists coming into the county.”
“However, if one travels to Sierra Leone or makes it the destination of his holidays /vacation, he will be positively surprised,” Tunis stated. “The beauty of the country with unspoiled beaches, friendly people, exciting tourist activities and the charming beach complex will make Sierra Leone truly memorable experience.”
Tunis further commended the management and staff of SLBL and the 232 for implementing the country’s local content policy in establishing and managing the venture adding his government commitment in supporting such laudable investments in the tourism sector.
SLBL Managing Director, Vaaf Van Tiljury noted that the Complex, as a Heineken brand, will be a key player in the Sierra Leone economy. Known for delivering high quality services, SLBL in partnership with 232, Tiljury says, both management will ensure to provide a high quality service to its customers.
Co-partner 232 management, Tarack Rahme expressed thanks for the government for providing a level play field for investment and creating an opportunity to grow with Sierra Leone with regards to development.
“The Complex consists of a lounge, restaurants, nightclub, conference and accommodation that are of international standard,” Rahme stated.
