Sierra Leone Sports: Linda Bull appointed women’s team Captain

The Sierra Leone Cricket Association has appointed Linda Bull as Captain of the national women’s team.
The medium pace bowler was Sierra Leone women’s vice-captain since 2010. “I’m extremely honoured to be appointed captain and I’m looking forward to a successful era as the leader of women’s cricket in the country,” she said.
The Captain remarked, “It will not be an easy task to lead a team of brilliant ladies, but I will emulate the amazing leadership style of my predecessor, Sarah Johnson who was a very good servant. She was an inspiration to ladies cricket”.
Bull is a perfect all-rounder who debuted in 2010 against Kenya in a tournament hosted in Uganda.
The medium pace bowler hopes to work with her team and maintain the unity, love and respect amongst her teammates. “Cricket, being my passion, I want to take my country to the top level of women’s cricket in the world,” Bull assured.
She helped Sierra Leone Women’s team win the maiden edition of the North West Africa Crick Council tournament (NWACC) unbeaten in Banjul, Gambia 2015.
Bull’s first assignment as Captain will be the T20 tournament scheduled for Botswana in August this year.
