Sierra Dream Foundation community league has reached the quarter-final stage according to the Chief Executive Officer, Benjamin Gordon. He also revealed that 24 communities started the league and each community paid Le700,000,000 to register.
Eight communities remain in contention. The league started 2-3 months ago and there have challenges especially with referees officiating matches.
He also revealed that the decision of some communities have also affected the league by bringing the game to standstill which was not good for the game.
The Public Relations Officer, Morlai Kargbo, said the quarter-final will start today Friday 11 August 2017, at the Brima Attouga mini complex with Krootown Road playing against Bambara Tong with Krootown Road hosting the first leg.
According Unisa Sesay, Krootown Road are up to the task of winning the league that is why today we are determined to win by at least two goals. This will put them in a good standing ahead of the second leg match that will be played on the 16th August with Bambara tong hosting.
While Agnes Kamara said Bambara Tong are going to win both legs and proceed to the semi-final stage.
PRO Kargbo said that the league will continue on Saturday 12 August with Clinetonians hosting Magazine the following day Sunday 13 August 2017 Fourah Bay will host Moa Wharf
