Sierra Leone Entertainment: Affinity CEO jets in for ‘BANJUL MY LOVE’

The Chief Executive Officer of Affinity Production in the Gambia Wilfred Adams will be flying in today Friday 25th August 2017 from Lagos, Nigeria, to grace the premier of “Banjul My Love” at the British Council Auditorium on Saturday 26th August at 6:30 p.m.
“Banjul My Love” was shot in the Gambia and is a joint Sierra Leonean/Gambian production produced by Wilfred Adams and Collins Archie Pearce supported by Desmond Finney one of Sierra Leone’s top actors.
The movie was directed by a renowned Nigerian director, Ken Steve Anuka, and features Collins Archie Pearce a Sierra Leonean based in the UK, Desmond Finney, an actor from Sierra Leone, and an array of Gambian and Nigerian actors. It is a love story, which shows that love overcomes all difficulties.
Speaking to Premier News, Desmond Finney stressed that the movie “Banjul My Love” is a West African collaboration geared towards exposing the talents in the sub-region and building strength among moviemakers. He went on to state that Wilfred Adams, the Chief Executive Officer of Affinity, is a commendable partner in this drive and has made it a point of duty to fly in from Lagos, Nigeria, where he is currently producing a West Africa Documentary. It is hoped that His Excellency the High Commissioner of Sierra Leone to the Gambia will also be flying in from the Gambia with a couple of actresses who starred in the movie. Finney went on to state that the Premier is free and is an opportunity for Sierra Leonean moviemakers to come together and see the possibilities available in movie- making when we collaborate.
The Red Carpet will start at 6:30 p.m. and the movie proper will be screened at 7:30 p.m.
