Sierra Leone Sports: SLFA gets assistant General Secretary

The Public Relations Officer of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Ibrahim Kamara, said that the executive committee of SLFA has appointed Abdul Rahman Swaray, as assistant General Secretary of the football association.
According to Ibrahim Kamara, the appointment was officially announced by Francis Konowa during a staff meeting at the football secretariat, witnessed by the President of the SLFA, Isha Johansen and other executive members.
Swarray, who had acted in the capacity of General Secretary for close to three years, is with effect on Friday 6th October 2017 the assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, Chris Kamara.
The newly appointed assistant General Secretary is also the Education officer of the Football Association, a position he has successfully occupied for close to three years now.
Reacting to the appointment, Abdul Rahman Swarray, thanked the President and the entire Executive of the SLFA for giving him the opportunity to work in a more authoritative capacity.
He furthered by acknowledging the challenges involved in the said office especially at this crucial times but ended by saying that he is up to the task of handling the challenges involved for the benefit and growth of football in the country.
