Sierra Leone Business: Union Trust Bank takes Western Union service to Regent Community

Union Trust Bank, the first indigenous bank in the country in partnership with Western Union on Saturday 14th October, 2017 officially unveiled a new Western Union outlet at 137 Regent road, Regent  community .
According to Agnes Mansaray, Manager, UTB, Western Union Department, the objective of the new establishment is to create an easy and affordable service to their customers within the community.
“We decided to take the banking system to the door step of communities within Regent and its environs because it is part of the mandate and the vision of Union Trust Banking to make its customers have easy and affordable access to their various outlets in the country” Mansaray added.
In her address, Mansaray noted that the said expansion could help the bank maintain dominance and it fulfillment of the pledge to serve the community.
“This partnership helps reinforce UTB’s status as a dominant provider” she said.
She went on to say that, the outlet is available throughout the week from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. except on Sundays, unlike the bank that closes at 3:30 p.m. and also on Saturdays. Mansaray continued that UTB Western Union has several pickup and sending locations across Freetown, but the new outlet is its only retail outlet specifically for receiving.
