After his registration to vote at Constituency 50 in Lunsar, the Chairman and Leader of the Alliance Democratic Party (ADP) Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray said it was wrong to merge the voter registration with the civil registration.
On Friday, March 24th, Mansaray said it was wrong to blend both registrations because the questions were tedious and they are relevant for the civil registration and not so relevant for voter registration.
Secondly, the registrations will not be different from the ones non-citizens and under age people will receive during the process. He said that will be a problem during the voting.
He also said, “The cards should be differentiated”, stating that it did not honour the Constitution, which gives NEC the mandate to register voters.
