Handicap International trains auto pediatrics from Salone and Liberia

Handicap International a Humanitarian organization that focuses on the welfare of people with disabilities has trained auto pediatrics in disabled advocacy and social support from Liberia and Sierra Leone Rehabilitation Centers at Aberdeen in Freetown.
The objective of the training is to educate auto pediatrics working with disabled within the Region to enable them to interact with the disabled freely and also advocate for their welfare.
Handicap International in collaboration with Health for All Coalition Sierra Leone organized the training for the participants drawn from the Monrovia Rehabilitation Center in Liberia and the National Rehabilitation Center in Freetown.
Topics discussed during the training were on advocacy and the United Nations Convention on disability and methods used in lobbying and support towards project implementation
According to the Workshop facilitators from the Health for all coalition the training was meant for auto pediatrics that are working at various rehabilitation centers being supported by Handicap International that are directly dealing with disabled.
Participants of the training told our reporter that the training was timely, educative and interactive.
They also promised to disseminate messages learnt to their colleagues at the rehabilitations centers in Sierra Leone and Liberia.
