Two Sierra Leoneans in Big Brother Africa Show

Sierra Leone has for the first time been included in the biggest reality show on the continent Big Brother Africa.
Now in its seventh season with a whooping three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) winning prize on the table, two Sierra Leoneans are currently participating in the 91 day 24hour entertainment show known for its exciting love tangles, twists, controversy and fun.
A double up was introduced to the show which means entrants partner with another person to enter as a pair for the show.
Dalphin Alexander and Zainab Sheriff are the first two Sierra Leoneans ever to participate in the continental showpiece which is beamed on DSTV satellite to millions of viewers in 47 African Countries.
Dalphin is a 26 year old student from the Model Secondary School at Berry Street. She later went to Nigeria where she studied Mass Communications at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. She lives in Lagos, Nigeria and works as a model booker. Ola as she is known in Freetown entered for the contest online and later came to Freetown for the auditioning where she was chosen by the South African scouts. Ola used to live in the Goderich area.
Zainab Sheriff is a 27 year old model now based in Istanbul. In 2006 she was the Sierra Leonean contestant for the Face of Africa. Although she excelled, yet she did not do enough to be chosen to go to South Africa. Back home she decided she wanted to continue on a modeling career path and so moved over to Turkey where she is now engaged as a full time model. She is the youngest of 8 sisters and 4 brothers.
The Minister of Information and Communication Ibrahim Ben Kargbo formally launched the BB Star game at Old School Complex last Sunday wishing the Sierra Leonean contestants well and calling on all Sierra leoneans to give them all the support by voting for them. The two contestants can be voted for through Airtel, Comium and Africell on short code 2626 on all networks or http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com
