Sierra Leone News: CDP Nominate Mayoral candidate in Freetown

The Citizen Democratic Party (CDP) nominated Bockarie Enssah to contest for Mayor of Freetown at the National Election Commission (NEC) Tower Hill Office in Freetown on Monday 8 January 2018. The CDP aspirant is the former Sierra Leone youth representative at the Commonwealth Youth Program between 2004-2007.
Prior to 2004, he served as National Youth Officer for the Civil Society Movement. He was trained as an activist “Grassroots Democrat” by the U.S. State Department. He was one of World Bank certified innovators that participated in the Cape Town World Bank Innovators fair in 2011.
Bockarie Enssah registered in Constituency 132 at Kanigo community and was nominated by Hassan Noah, Alie Samura and Abass Bangura all resident within the Western Area.
The mayoral aspirant said he was part of the 2012 opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) aspirants that aspired for the Kenema mayoral symbol.
According to Enssah, he is a youth activist and human rights campaigner promoting the welfare of youth and participation in governance. He maintained that he wants to transform the status of youths in Freetown by creating jobs and also making the city clean.
