Sierra Leone News: Onlime celebrates raffle winners

Hawanatu Agnes Songo, a student, and Salamatu Sesay, a nurse, were the lucky winners of Onlime December raffle bonanza for a sponsored five-day trip for two to Ghana and a dinner at Radisson Blu for two. The raffle was part of the Onlime social media platform that was launched aiming at bringing people together in community related content.
The star prize winner of the five days travel for two to Ghana, Songo, said she is more than happy to win the first ever raffle by Onlime. She has never traveled out of the country. She came to know of the Limey App through a friend who downloaded and signed up for her. Since then, she has been active on the Limey social platform.
Salamatu Sesay won the dinner for two at Radisson Blu. She said she learned about the app during a pageant show in the East of Freetown. She said one of the dealers of Onlime approached them and told them of the app stating that since it was on social media, she expressed interest and the app was download and later signed up.
Salamatu said since then she has introduced more than 50 friends and they downloaded the app and are enjoying chatting with friends and the community.
The competition was open to residents in Sierra Leone that downloaded the Limey app from play store or Google store, signed up and participated actively in the network. The platform is aimed at transforming and bringing Africa social media communication in an acceptable and friendly manner where one can only sees posts on community issues.
The Onlime find me online platform is a social media platform that is different from Facebook for its privacy, content sharing and
community related messages.
It also supports small and medium sized businesses with directions, location and prices for vehicles and motorbikes from guarantee and reliable dealers.
The FindMe Onlime is the new platform to search for used and new vehicles and bikes throughout the country with the aim of facilitating the purchase and sale of cars, motorbikes and vans.
According to Mohamed Sheriff Bah, the Digital Marketing and Online Sales Specialist, dealers will no longer have to wait for buyers to come to them because the platform has a good mobile version where means dealers or private individuals can upload adverts for the sale of their brand or products. He said buyers can scan through all the vehicles on the website or on their handheld device for model, location, price, and others.
Bah said their platform offers a very wide range of vehicles from brand new, to used, and old cars that are only worth selling for spares and repairs revealing that they will be adding lots of other sectors over the coming months. He said they their fundamental mission is to connect the unconnected and underserved population through the creation of affordable Wi-Fi hotspots that will be deployed to make the country more open and connected to the world.
