Sierra Leone Sports: Camp DIVA Youth Championship Gains Momentum… Dundee United Entertains Western Rovers Today

The Secretary General of the Camp DIVA Youth Championship, Barrie Alpha, said that ongoing 13th edition Youth Championship at the Kroo Bay community has gained momentum with numbers of football loving fans from different areas in the Freetown municipality going down the slum community everyday to witness the country’s most sport, football.
He said that today, Friday February 9 2018, fixture will see Dundee United FC entertaining Western Rovers FC with both teams playing their first match in Group K and football fans are expecting to see
According to the Association’s Chair, Charles Carew, the league is running smoothly and that he is confident of another successful edition. “We are quite aware of the elections fever which sometimes raises tempo between different party supporters. We are not only playing football but also busy in sensitising the youths everyday to stay away from violence before and after the elections, ” he stated.
He also confirmed that the league will be taking a break and it will resume after the elections.
The league will continue tomorrow, Saturday February 10 2018 with defending champion, Grap Go Fen Am and Talking Drum FC looking for their first winning, after both teams were defeated in their first match in Group A. Sunday February 11 encounter will feature Group A leaders, Congo Market FC and All Stars FC battle for the top, after both teams won their first match with Congo Market leading the table with two goals ahead of their opponent
