Sierra Leone News: JFK Foundation donates to Abacha traders

JFK Foundation, a charitable organisation established over 5-years ago by former Attorney General Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara, has donated market tables to Abacha Street Traders yesterday, Tuesday 17 April 2018.
Lynette Kamara, Co-chair and wife of Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara, donated 100 market tables to the Abacha Street Traders who were victims of post-elections violence in Freetown. The donation was non-partisan as every identified victim benefited from the charity.
The event was co-hosted and under the auspices of the Traders Council who were with Joseph Kamara last week and explained about the destruction of their market tables.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Lynette Kamara thanked them for their patience and urged them to continue to be law abiding. She said even though they suffered so much that should not give them the cause to retaliate as the law of an eye for an eye no longer exist.
Abdul Wahab Bangura, President of the JFK Foundation spoke on the vision and activities of the Organisation and committed to continue to serve the needs of humanity.
Acknowledging the donation, the Chairlady of Abacha Street Market, Jatou, expressed joy for the gift and commended the JFK Foundation for the support at a difficult moment.
