Sierra Leone Sports: Single leg amputee team to play at FIFA World Cup

Sierra Leone Single Amputee Football Association is expecting to compete in this year’s FIFA World Cup – Hope Festival, in Russia.
According to Irina Schlossarek, Football for Hope, Programme Manager, FIFA said they are delighted to confirm that the Sierra Leone Single Leg Amputee football team has qualified for Hope Festival 2018

He revealed that the festival is an official event of the 2018 FIFA World Cup slated for the June 23rd -July 3, 2018. Forty-eight delegations representing development through football organization from around the world will converge on Moscow. To celebrate the power of football for social change through a football tournament characterised by fair play as well as activities promoting inter-cultural exchange and knowledge sharing, we hope that both your young participants and your organization as a whole will benefit from the experience The Public Relations Officer of the Sierra Leone Single Leg Amputee Team, Albert Mustapha, said they are looking forward to such trip as is boys are up to the task.
