Sierra Leone News: Gambian donkey goes missing

Hassan Kamara, RSLAF, is accused of stealing a donkey worth Le16 million from a farm in Waterloo on Friday 8 May 2017. Kamara appeared before Magistrate Santigie Bangura on Monday 18 June 2018.
Kamara was arrested and charged with Larceny of Cattle contrary to Section 3 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
Property developer and donkey owner, Samuel Enitor King, explained in Court that he brought the donkey from the Gambia and the donkey had been kept at his property in Waterloo.
He said he received a call from a lady residing at his property who reported the theft and damage to a building.
Counsel representing the accused argued the donkey never existed. He pleaded with the Magistrate to put the accused on bail. Although the prosecution objected to the application, the Magistrate granted the application and ordered that the accused be put on bail.
