Sierra Leone Sports: Volleyball friendlies in Guinea

The Secretary General of the Solar Spikers Volleyball Club Karifa Kello Thoronka said the friendly matches with ADAC Volleyball club de Dubreka of Guinea was an eye opener for the club and for some players. He said some of the players were able to have their first exposure which was very good for them and the club.
The Organizing Secretary, Michael J. Bangura, said during this friendly they have learn a lot that they are going to embark on it to development their club back home which will be good for them. He said they were impressed with the way they were taking care of during their stay in Guinea.
Ibrahim Sillah who witnessed the first match on Sunday 1st July 2018 said the host came very strong to make sure that they are top of situation to win both male and female matches respectively.
Solar female team lost to the host three straight sets: 25-15, 25-18, 25-13. The men lost 3 sets to 1 to the host: 25-14, 24-26, 17-25 and 20-25.
He described the friendly as a success as it was well attending by volleyball fans in Guinea who cheer both side to victory.
