Sierra Leone Sports: COFA Semi Finals start over the weekend

Out of the 48 communities that started this year’s Central One Football Association Super Inter-Community league, the semi final stage with only four communities will start over the weekend.
The Secretary General of COFA, Philpson Cline-Cole said that the semi final will starts on Saturday August 4 2018 with Shell Jewellers playing against Kuntorloh. Cline-Cole described the upcoming match as “a cracking one that will be full of fireworks”.
Hassan Sesay of Shell Jewellers Community said they are more than focused and determined not only to defeat their opponent Kuntorloh but to win this year’s community league.
He said they are impressed with the performances of the team since the start of the league up to this stage.
While Issa Kanu of Kuntorloh said that tomorrow’s match is very important in the history of Kuntorloh community. Winning that match will see them lift this year’s Community league trophy, which is their aim and objective playing in the league.
According to the Organizing Secretary, Yapo Sillah, the semi final will continue on Sunday August 5th 2018 between Lumley Community and Fourah Bay. It should be one of the toughest matches in the league as both communities can boast of very good teams that could go on to win the competition.
Unisa Bangura of Lumley Community said their opponent, Fourah Bay is a team to reckon with as they have a very good side but at the end of the 90 minutes Lumley will prevail.
The Chairman of COFA, Sammah Sesay, said the final is expected to be played next month.
