Sierra Leone Sports: I am happy to be back on the National team – Alie Sesay

Sierra Leone foreign-based defender, Alie Sesay, said he is happy to be back on the National team putting on the national pride (Sierra Leone shirt) because it has been a while,” Sesay said.
“Now, I am really looking forward to the Ethiopia game as we have a good chance of qualifying.”
The former Leicester graduate added, “It was an overall good experience; we got a good result away from home playing with majority home-based players. “The home-based players did really well and I was impressed with them.”
According to Issa Sesay the Liberia match was the fourth match for Sesay playing for Sierra Leone. He made his debut against Cameroon in a 0-0 draw during the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers on 11th October 2014.
The former Barnet FC defender played his third international game for Sierra Leone in a 5-1 defeat to the Ivory Coast in November 2014.
Alie Sesay has been one of the most consistent players for the Swedish Superettan side since joining them in 2017 from Barnet FC.
