Sierra Leone Sports: 3 foreign players may miss Ethiopia clash

Three out of the 23 players invited by the head coach of Leone Stars, John Keister, may miss the Ethiopia clash on 9th September 2018.
Sierra Leone may be without skipper UmaruBangura for their 2019 AFCON Group F qualifier against Ethiopia on 9 September after the latest muscle strain.Bangura, 30, confirmed the news that he is a doubt, after speaking to the FC Zurich medical team.
“I am not sure I will be going to Ethiopia,” he said. “I played my first 90 minutes in last Sunday’s 1-1 draw with FC Basel and a day after, I started feeling pains in my right leg muscles,” he said
“According to UmaruBangura he said he is presently under observation by the club’s medical team.”Bangura added, “I have also informed coach Keister about it.”
The other two players that will be missing are Coventry City strikerAmadouBakayoko and PSIS attacking midfielder, Ibrahim Conteh. Both players have been withdrawn from the 23-man squad named by the coach.
According to Coach Keister he still has a few days to name the trio’s replacement before next weekend cracker if it will be possible to do so.
The team manager of Leone Stars,Christain Dauda, said Coventry City striker AmadouBakayoko should have represented Sierra Leone for the first time but was advised by the Coventry City boss to stay behind because two of the strikers for the club are injured and he has to step in for them as they have a very important match on the 9th of this month.
