Sierra Leone Sports: I have no doubt in the players – Alie Badara Tarawallie

The head of delegation of the Sierra Leone National Under-17 team, Alie Badara Tarawallie, has admonished players of the Boys Under-17 team to be motivated and determined during their first encounter with Guinea Bissau today, Tuesday 11 September 2018.

“I have no doubt in the players. They are up to the task. They know and understand what this tournament means to them, their families and the country in general,” he said.

The leader of delegation said the eyes of Sierra Leoneans are on the U-17 team after the National team lost 1-0 to Ethiopia in the African Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

The U-17 team is in Senegal to take part in the Tanzania 2019 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers. Senegal leads group A, after win against Guinea Bissau in the opening match on Sunday 9 September 2018.

All 18 players who took the MRI test at the Imagerie Moderne Du Senegal hospital in Senegal, were cleared and confirmed the right age to participate in the tournament.

The second MRI test is a compulsory regulation of CAF for  all participating teams to re-do the MRI test.

The head coach, Tito Cole, said they are confident of today’s victory, which will see the team qualifying to 2019 Africa Nation Cup.
