Sierra Leone News: Muslim Brotherhood and St. Edwards register victories

The secondary school sports competition continues in the Western Area Freetown on Friday 9th November 2018 at theSiaka Stevens Stadium practice field. In the football category, Brotherhood came on very strong to defeat St. Edwards by a penalty shootout on 6-5 aggregate after a goalless draw at full time. Umaru Kamara of Brotherhood said they deserved the win as they were the better side throughout the match and they hope to continue in their winning spirit. Abdul Sesay, one of the coordinators, said in the volleyball category for the senior boys St Edwards came very strong to revenge against Muslim Brotherhood by defeating them by two sets to one (2-1). It was St. Edwards who won the first set and Muslim Brotherhood came back to level and the last match was best of 15, which was won by St. Edwards Secondary School. Ibrahim Kamara of St Edwards said it should have been a very bad day for them if they should have lost again to Muslim Brotherhood in the volleyball match but they were able to win and that has given them courage that they are still part of the school activities. The competition will continue today Monday 12th November 2018 for the schools in the Eastern part of the city.
