Sierra Leone News: 22-month prison sentence for stealing Le15,000 cassava

Alex Juma Boima, 36, a sand miner in Loko Town section in Kenema, has been sentenced to 22-months imprisonment at his last appearance in Magistrate Court No. 2 before Magistrate Joseph Tobi. Boima faced one count charge of Larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916. The particulars of offence state Alex Juma Bockarie, on Saturday 29 December 2018, stole some raw cassava valued at Le15,000 from Bockarie Sama of Samai town two section in Kenema. The matter was prosecuted by Police Constable 14863 Hannah Boima from the Legal Justice and Support Department of the Kenema Police Division.
