Sierra Leone News: MoneyGram presents promotion car to winner

Sheik Tunis, became the proud winner of a new Suzuki Alto car from MoneyGram International ‘December to remember’ Promotion worth over US$9,000, at a draw held on Wednesday 10th January, 2018 at the Harry Yansaneh Hall. He won the car prize after receiving a money transfer from MoneyGram during the November-December promotion period. The Suzuki Alto car which has already been licensed, comes with a one-year contract which states that the winner must not dispose of the vehicle or its branding until the end of the said period. Other consolation prizes included five 32inches LED/TV sets, ten Tecno Y2 mobile phone, 20 litre fuel chits and ten shopping vouchers worth Le1, 600,000. Since the promotion started, the first draw which was held in December saw ten people receiving their fuel chits another ten received shopping vouchers. Julius Spencer, Managing Director of Premier Media Consultancy; an advertising agency for Money Gram said that promotion is one of Money Grams effort to give back to its customers and this is probably the biggest promotion they have done in a while because it has two components to it. He explained that MoneyGram is not only looking at paying attention to the development of their business, but to reach out and show appreciation to their valued customers for their continuous support. People were encouraged to send and receive money during the promotion for a chance to win great prizes for the festive season. The first component is for any transaction that the customer does, whether it is sending or receiving money the customer gets an instant gift whenever they go to do any transaction and all the agents are given various kinds of gifts. Presenting the car keys to Tunis, Spencer congratulated him for emerging as the grand prize winner and a proud owner of a brand new car, even as he solicited for continued patronage of MoneyGram. Tunis expressed excitement as he said he wasn’t expecting such gift from MoneyGram, “I am currently in negotiation to buy a vehicle and today I saw 16 missed calls from Dr Spencer and a text message informing me that I have won a prize at a draw. I want to thank my woman who sends me money always because if not for her I wouldn’t have been a winner” he said. He promised to encourage other people to receive and send money through MoneyGram as they will receive something good at the end.
