Sierra Leone News: Mutilated body of 45-yr old woman found in Mandu

The body of a farmer, 45-year old Baindu Boima, of Mobai town in the Mandu chiefdom, Kailahun District was found on 26 January 2019. According to Sergeant Brima James Musa of the Media Department of the Daru Police Division in Kailahun, the woman’s body was severely mutilated and found in a pool of blood. The husband of the deceased noted his wife went to their farm, as usual, but did not return at the end of the day. The Pathologist in Kenema, Dr. James Massalay, said his post-mortem revealed the woman’s right hand and right foot were cut off. His report also noted the woman’s stomach was open and vital organs had been removed. Dr. Massalay also noted the victim’s head had been split and her brain removed from her skull. The Police in Kailahun have arrested ten people in association with this murder.
