Sierra Leone Sports: 4 Premier League matches to play today

The Sierra Leone Premier League continues today, Wednesday 13th February 2019 with four matches lined up in different venues. In Kenema, the Kambio Eagles will host Ports Authority in a very exciting clash as both teams need a win. According to Francis Moinina Koroma of Kamboi Eagles, they are going to continue in their winning spree to make sure that they defeat Ports Authority who has secured six points from two matches. Kamboi Eagles hope for an opportunity to go level on points with league leaders Central Parade, who do not play until Saturday. Ports, on the other hand, relish a greater opportunity to go to the top of the log with nine points and two more above the rest if they beat Eastern City. “The Mayor’s Boys”, Freetown City Football Club, welcomes East End Tigers at the Approved School playing field. FCC has high hopes of taking all three points against the guys “hard done by” with a goal to nil defeat at home to Kambio Eagles. The FCC coach is confident of victory and that will see City go one point above their opponents with four points in three matches. The Tigers cannot afford to lose two matches in a row and hope for inspiration somewhere in the match, which is expected to produce fireworks. In the northern city of Makeni, Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) Football Club will host the Diamond Stars and will try to secure their first win or at least a point out of three matches played so far. With no point in two matches, the Armed Forces coach and players may have started feeling the heat from their battalion of fans. Just two points in two, coach Zappa and his boys have pronounced the people of Koidu deserves better and their title credence needs to show with a victory against the boys in green. Coach Halo and Zappa have a point to prove in today’s matches that means a lot for the two teams. At the Siaka Stevens Stadium FC Kallon will host Old Edwardians in a thrilling match as both teams secured a win in their last match and they are going for supremacy.
