Sierra Leone Sports: FC Kallon leads Sierra Leone Premier league

FC Kallon continued their good footing when they defeated Freetown City FC by a goal to nil (1-0) to lead the league with 14 points from 6 matches with Central Parade in second position after defeating Old Edwardians by two goals to nil (2-0) at the Parade grounds. They have secured 13 points from 6 matches. East End Lions are in third position after playing with Kamboi Eagles to a goalless draw (0-0) in Kenema. They have now secured 11 points from 5 matches. Ports Authority is now in fourth position with 10 points after playing 6 matches while Mighty Blackpool is in fifth position with 10 points. According to Serry Turay, the caretaker coach of Mighty Blackpool, they are able to win three matches in a row because the players are now focused and determined to create a serious impact. He made this statement after the team secured a one nil victory over the RSLAF Football team. Unisa Bangura has said the league is gaining momentum and he is calling on the clubs to put their house in order so that they will soon start to have standard league in the country as it has used to be in the 80s.
