Sierra Leone Sports: Edwardians, Diamond Stars & Freetown City to host   

The Sierra Leone Premier League will continue today Friday 1 March 2019 in three different venues across the country. In Kono, the Diamond Stars who are in 12th position will host last place Bo Rangers, who are 13th in the table with one point. At Approved School Complex, in Wellington, Freetown City FC will host RSLAF. On the same day at the Siaka Steven Stadium, the Old Edwardians who lay in 9th position with 4 points will battle against the Kamboi Eagles. The Secretary General of Old Edwardians, Amdiu Koroma, said the team is well prepared to make sure they continue in their winning ways after losing two consecutive matches. The Kamboi Eagles, according to Francis Koroma, need to win to take their points to 11 points that will put them in good footing. On Saturday, Mighty Blackpool will host Anti-Drugs at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in a thrilling encounter. According to Unisa Sesay, Mighty Blackpool who started the league in bad shape are now secure wining three in a row placing them in 6th position with 10 points. Ibrahim Kamara of Anti-Drugs, said even though they lost to East End Tigers in their last match in Lungi, said, “We have put that match behind us. Our focus now is against Mighty Blackpool to make sure we secure all three vital points. On Sunday 3rd March, the league leaders FC Kallon will battle against and the second place Central Parade, a match most football fans say is going to be thrilling and full of fireworks as both want to lead the table of the end of the match.
