Sierra Leone Sports: Sierra Leone Premier League gaining momentum

The Sierra Leone Premier League has gained momentum since the start of the league in February this year. Over the weekend Sierra Leonean fans witnessed one of the best matches so far when Central Parade and FC Kallon played to a one all draw (1-1). According to Emmanuel Sesay, it was FC Kallon that went into the lead in the first half before the break and during the second half we saw brilliant play from both sides. Before the end of the match Central Parade the host was able to level the score. Janet Kamara, a supporter of FC Kallon, said she was not happy for the result but the match was good and she was able to appreciate the cost she made to witness the match. Over the weekend, Mighty Blackpool and Anti Drugs played to a goalless draw in another exciting match. According to Lansana Turay, of Mighty Blackpool, they should have won the match but lost because of bad officiating. On Friday 1 Match 2019, Old Edwardians lost to Kamboi Eagles at the Siaka Stevens Stadium by two goals to one (2-1). This defeat did not go down well with officials and fans of the team. The team is expected to play their next match against Bo Rangers on Wednesday 6th March 2019.
