Sierra Leone Sports: Handball competition coming to Kenema

Elongima Joseph Amara, a handball coach in the Eastern region said they are going to organize a 2-day handball competition in Kenema. He said the competition will be played over the weekend between African United Handball team from Freetown and Camp Kenema Handball team. Both teams will engage themselves during the 2 days the 20-21 of April. According to the organizing the committee, the essence of the match is to popularize the game in the region and to motivate the players to take the game to another level. According to Francis Koroma, to have one team from Freetown and another one from Kenema coming together is a great way to promote the sport. He said to organize such friendly matches frequently will help the players to grow. The guest of honor for the program is the former Mayor of Kenema, J.S. Kaifala.
