Sierra Leone Sports: Kamboi Eagle’s leading scorer needs treatment in Ghana

Kamboi Eagles Football Club player, Ron Gandy Williams, sustained a serious mouth and jaw injury during their game against Central Parade in Kenema on 12 May 2019.  Surgery on two bone fractures was done at Connaught Hospital by dental surgeon, Dr. David Kamara.  According to the Public Relations Officer, Mamadu Sallieu Barrie, the surgery was successful but shortly after he suffered a relapse. He was supposed to be flown to Ghana for proper medical care. Consultations were immediately made about his traveling expenses which were put estimated at up to $6,500 USD. A fundraising effort ensued very shortly after the injury. The Management of the Kenema Kamboi Eagles wants to inform the public that some people have started responding to their financial request. The Executive of the Club headed by Ibrahim Mazola Kamara is highly committed to ensuring that Williams will travel for treatment.
